Our client satisfaction guarantee:
We can’t guarantee the outcome of your case, but we can guarantee how we will treat you.
Hi. While you're researching legal services, I wanted to take a moment to let you know how we guarantee our services to our clients at Clarity Legal. But let me explain a little first.
Attorneys are not allowed to guarantee the outcome or results of a legal process. (The State Bar, our licensing authority, forbids it.) Because it's not up to us, right? In the end it's up to the judge, or the agency, or the officer who is deciding your case. At Clarity Legal we do our absolute best possible job, but whether you win your case is not completely within our control.
So I'm not going to guarantee you that we can win your case.
But I am going to guarantee you that you will be completely satisfied with how we communicate with you, how we perform our work, and how well we take care of you, your family, and your case.
And I'm going to back up my guarantee to you: If you hire us for your case, and you make a down payment, then at any point during the first 30 days you can change your mind and get your money back if you are not 100% satisfied with the way we're working with you.
Let me repeat:
If you hire us and make a down payment on your case...
But during the first 30 days you are NOT satisfied...
I will happily refund your money.
(I'll do it happily not because I want you to be dissatisfied, but because if you need to go work with a different attorney on your case, then that's what you need to do. And you should work with whomever you think works best for you.)
I'm very certain that you'll be satisfied, because I've built my law firm to provide excellent client service. So making this guarantee is not truly a risk for me. And it's something I've always done in my law practice...but now I'm being clear about it even before people hire me. I believe that much in what I do here at Clarity Legal.
An attorney cannot guarantee you that they will win your case. That is ethically prohibited. You should never rely on a guarantee about an outcome for your case, and you should not trust anyone who tries to tell you that they can guarantee a win.
We’ll tell you the truth.
In an immigration matter or criminal defense case, you may be facing some hard truths and difficult choices. No one likes delivering bad news, but we know that you are trusting us to tell you the truth. So whether it is good news or bad news, we will always tell you the truth about the possibilities and choices that you may have.
We’ll put your safety first.
In an immigration case, we understand that you are probably worried that interacting with the United States government about your immigration status might put you at risk.
We guarantee that at the beginning of your case, we will take initial steps to get information that will help us avoid risk. Often, the first step for our clients is to make a FOIA request to the United States government to get copies of the information that the government has about them. Doing this puts our clients at no risk, because we put our own contact information on the forms.
We guarantee that you will understand all the risks that may come up in getting your legal status.
We guarantee that we will not put you into any risk that you do not fully understand and agree to.
We guarantee that when a legal strategy carries significant risk to you, we will not agree to take the case unless we believe we have a very strong chance of winning it.
We’ll help you choose the best strategy to achieve your goals.
Sometimes, a client may have more than one option for how to proceed in a legal matter. For example: Choosing to bring your fiancee to the United States before getting married, or choosing to bring them here as your spouse after getting married in the home country.
Sometimes one option costs much less, so we will tell you what the fees are for both options.
Sometimes one option takes less time to complete, so we will tell you how much time they each take, in our experience.
Sometimes one option carries less risk than another option, so we will tell you what the risks of your options are.
We’ll make sure you have all the information about your case.
When you work with an attorney, under California’s ethical rules for attorneys, you have a right to receive a copy of most of the papers that are in your legal file.
If you have previously worked with a different attorney, we can help you get a copy of that legal file, or request it on your behalf.
When we file immigration applications for you, you will get a copy of each application we file, and each response from the government.
As a first step in many immigration cases, we file a FOIA request with the United States government to uncover information about you that may affect your case. We will give you a copy of that information when we receive it, and meet with you to explain what it means.
